NHS is sponsoring a coat collection through November 5. Bring your gently used coats and hoodies and leave them in the office. Mr. Dunkeson will pick them up. All items will be distributed locally.

Parent-Teacher Conferences are scheduled TONIGHT from 4:30-8:00.

Detention now through March 7 will be in Ms. Mayberry’s room, 107. 

Ed Rising MembersYou need to turn in your candy bars and or money to Ms. Lewis tomorrow.

The ARMY will have a table display in the commons during lunch tomorrow.

Juniors: There will be a meeting for parents of juniors regarding the after-prom party Thursday at 5:30 p.m. in the commons. Please make sure your parents are aware of this meeting and attend.

Students: Please note that the game tomorrow night is a KSHSAA post-season game; therefore, no passes may be used. Everyone must pay. Adults $5, students $4.

The theme for Friday’s football game against Atchison will be Halloween. Students will not be allowed to bring props and must dress school appropriately.

It’s spooky season! The Debate team is throwing a Halloween Bash Friday from 9:30 to 11:30 after the football game. There will be a mummy wrap competition and a costume contest -  prizes will be awarded! Entry fee will be $5 and entry for the costume contest is an extra $1. Costumes MUST be school appropriate. All proceeds will be donated to an organization called Black Box which saves young boys from sex trafficking. Come one, come all!" 

Wreaths Across America Fundraiser: Each year the National Cemetery participates in Wreaths Across America, placing live pine wreaths on graves in our National Cemetery. Through October 31 Stuco is sponsoring an activity period competition where the highest average dollar amount by persons will receive a Krispy Kreme Donut party (ex: 14 students donated $42.00 = 3.00 average).

Juniors: There’s a list outside Ms. Lewis'/Mrs. T. Campbell's room of those who have not paid ($50) for prom or owe if they didn't sell 10 items (range from $5 to $40).   Remember, the fee goes to $75 after November 1.  Delivery date of items sold is October 31.

Seniors: If you have monetary donations for the Cinnamon Roll Fundraiser, please get it to Ms. Lewis by November 1.  

Picture retakes are scheduled for Thursday, November 1. Seniors going to the FSCC Senior Day: If you did not have your picture taken the first time, you need to get it that morning before going to the college.

FSCC Fall Senior Day will be November 1. Register from 9:30-10:00 a.m. and Senior Day will be from 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Pre-registration is not required; however, those who do will be entered into a drawing to win prizes. Pre-registration closes at midnight, October 30. Pre-register at  http://www.fortscott.edu/Senior Day. If you are attending, a parent/guardian must call to excuse you.

HOBY Leadership Conference applications are due to Mr. Messer by Friday, November 2.  

Global Culture Members: The next meeting will be November 8. This will be the final day to turn in your $7 for a t-shirt.

First day of winter Sports will be Monday, November 12. If participating in winter sports, you must have a physical and head injury/heat illness form turned in to Mrs. Leaming before that day. Pick up forms in the office or print from the FSHS web page.
