COSTUMES? NO, NOT AT SCHOOL TOMORROW; HOWEVER, YOU CAN DRESS UP FOR THE TIGER FOOTBALL GAME TOMORROW NIGHT!  HERE ARE THE DETAILS:

1. NO WEAPONS! FAKE NOR OTHERWISE!

2. SCHOOL APPROPRIATE AND NOTHING POLITICAL, PLEASE!

3. NO GORY NOR BLOODY COSTUMES!

FSHS TIGERS VS BONNER SPRINGS TOMORROW NIGHT AT FRARY FIELD!  KICKOFF IS 7 O’CLOCK.  FACE COVERINGS ARE REQUIRED.  STUDENTS NEED TO ENTER THROUGH THE NORTH GATE.  IF YOU LEAVE DURING THE GAME, YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED RE-ENTRY.

From the Principal’s Office:

Activity Period teachers should be handing out the new computer usage contracts. Those contracts should be returned to AP teachers. When new computers arrive, we will switch devices. If your forms are not returned, we will not be able to hand out new computers. Our computers are now in the United States. We need to be ready when they arrive.

Students, if you are struggling emotionally or mentally, please remember that the school therapists are available. Our therapists specialize in childhood trauma, depression and anxiety. If you are interested in seeing one of the school therapists please contact your counselor by email or come to speak with them. If you are a freshman or sophomore, please contact Mr. Altic (doug.altic@usd234.org). If you are a junior or senior, please contact Mr. Messer (josh.messer@usd234.org). There is no need to suffer in silence when there is help available. It is private and confidential.

ORANGES!  APPLES! GRAPEFRUIT!  PEARS AND AVOCADOS!

Student Council members are selling fruit!  Yes, avocados are fruits.  Orders are due next Friday, November 6th.  Fruit will be delivered in early December.  The exact delivery date will be determined after the final order is submitted.

CLUBS:

Global Culture and Diversity is a club for students who wish to learn about foreign cultures, customs, and cuisines. It is a celebration of and appreciation for the ethnic and racial diversities that make us uniquely individual. Join Global Culture via Google Classroom with the code m42i7zh.  First meeting is this Saturday morning, October 31st, beginning at 10 via Zoom.  We will be making Dia de la Muertos Oreo truffles.  Join now, get your ingredients, and we’ll “meet in the kitchen” this Saturday morning! 

 

SkillsUSA Motto is “Preparing for leadership in the world of work.”  Come to the first Zoom meeting Thursday, November 5th, to see what it’s all about and then decide if you’d like to join.  The Google Classroom code is s44qwsp and meetings are via Zoom on the first Thursday of the month.

 

FSHS Improvised Acting Team Invitation: 

Improv is a spontaneous form of acting that involves creating scenes on the spot.  Practice is Wednesdays afterschool from 3:30 until 4:45 in the auditorium.  For more information, reach out to Mr. Bergmann.

Applications are now being accepted for the Hugh O'Brian Youth (HOBY) Leadership Program. The program, held on the KSU campus, is July 8th through July 11th. Please check your email and contact Mr. Messer for more information or to pick up an application.

The kitchen crew needs to know how many meals to prepare, even though meals are free at this time! If you'd like milk with your sack lunch, it's available for only $.50 a carton.

Breakfast:  mini pancakes, banana, milk 

Lunch:  Fiestada pizza, fresh broccoli, refried beans, apple wedges, milk

Breakfast: sausage dog, juice, milk

Lunch: chicken biscuit, corn, lettuce salad, flavored yogurt, banana, milk
